Restore photos & videos important: You can only restore photos and videos if they’re still in your trash. On your android device, open the google photos app .
If you back up to google photos, only photos and videos will be uploaded. Dec 8, 2025open the google photos app on your android device at the bottom, tap collections > trash select the items you want to restore and at the bottom tap ' restore '.
